Total time:
Serves: 2 medium pizzas
  • 2 pizza dough balls(read for toppings)
  • ⅔ cup pizza sauce
  • 12 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 6 slices sopressata
  • ½ lrg. red onion, sliced (with a mandoline)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • corn meal
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • (optional) pepperoni
  1. Set oven to highest temperature (not broil). My highest was 525 degrees. If using a pizza stone, preheat with stone for one hour before use.
  2. Heat a small skillet on medium-high and add olive oil. Add sliced onions and peppers and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly tendered and set aside.
  3. Place flattened dough on a surface coated with corn meal as instructed. Once dough is ready add sauce to each dough surface, leaving desired crust edge and then layer mozzarella slices, peppers and onions mixture, sopressata (we tear the slices in order to disperse evenly), red pepper flakes and desired about of salt and pepper.
  4. Add pizza to the oven baking approximately 8-10 minutes or until the edges of crust begin to brown.
  5. Allow to cool for 3-5 minutes, slice and enjoy!
