Spiced Overnight Oats
Recipe type: Breakfast
  • ¾ cup regular oats
  • 1 (very) ripe banana
  • ½ - ¾ cup milk (I used unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • Dash of vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp. crushed or sliced almonds
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. dried mixed berries or cranberries
  • Honey (to taste)
  1. Add oats and banana to bowl and mash until banana is combined with oats.
  2. Add milk and stir to combine.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and stir once more.
  4. Place in refrigerator overnight and heat about 1 minute, stirring at 30 seconds.
I have also added chia seeds, protein powder and granola with success; however, I always add extra milk with add-ins, since they will soak up the liquid.

Try Chocolate almond milk instead of regular milk and a tsp of cocoa powder for a chocolate breakfast treat!
