Keeping things short and sweet today...emphasis on the SWEET.
Get it? Because I am greeting you with DESSERT for Monday morning and I don't feel bad about it at all. Because even though, I consider it a definite sweet kick, each serving is well under 300 calories so you don't have to feel miserable afterwards...even if you have it for breakfast 🙈.
Since its naturally sweetened, even desserts can be semi-guilt free! And with the protein this little cup packs, you wont be craving the next sweet temptation an hour later. Total win in my book because if you work in an office like me, Christmas is an excuse to have every sweet imaginable lying around every empty cubicle staring it's evil eyes at you.
Its funny how my apple just doesn't taste as sweet when chocolate chip cookies are piled high 5 feet away.
But this creamy sweetness with a hint of cinnamon and apple, tart arils and a nutty crunch will definitely curb that craving juuuust fine. TAKE THAT COOKIES. 💪👊 (just kidding, I still love you😍🍫)
Full disclosure: I had never cut a pomegranate before in MA' LIFE until this recipe. I cut the thing, not really knowing what to expect and the little arils were literally flying everywhere the entire time I was removing them. I am still finding them in corners of the kitchen!
Naturally I saw this clever tutorial AFTER my disaster by Kristin. I should have known to go to the pro's for such things. Not to mention, that Power Bowl will definitely be a great way to utilize my remaining pomegranates in my produce drawer!
If you haven't ventured into pomegranate things, I definitely recommend it! They are the most amazing fruit and definitely add such a fun burst of flavor to practically anything. Especially Apple Pomegranate Parfaits!

Chocolate ShakeologyOkay so we definitely all need this today. I know you...you tried to limit yourself to only 1 slice of pie...but you forgot that 3 slices later.
You went back for mashed potato seconds and lost count of the gravy spoonfuls.
You completely intended to pack up on green beans to leave less room for macaroni and cheese, but OOPS the mac n' cheese dish came first.
I get it. You can't control such things as memory loss and table food placement!! But I'm with you and am craving those greens too; but in the least non-steamed veggie type of way!
