If we were all honest with ourselves, I think we would all be just fine with a milkshake for breakfast daily. You know, if it made us feel as energetic and healthy as a green smoothie and really give us the boost you need in the AM.
Yes, I am certain we would.

I am here gifting you with another lovely smoothie that tastes more like dessert than healthy and we ALL are okay with that. I am just callin’ it. This glorious combo is made of frozen bananas and grapes to get the ultimate milkshake texture and that ice cream sundae vibe with a blend of vanilla and chocolate protein powder to make that milkshake keep you satisfied all morning!
Naturally, as the name implies, this smoothie puts me in mind of a banana split, which then leads you to the assumption that I have this every morning. Your assumption would be correct because I have made this 968451864 times since my Chocolate Shakeology came in the mail last month. Can you really blame me folks?
Another little ingredient…like REALLY little, are chia seeds! Not to be mistaken with chia pets. You probably didn’t make that mistake, but I find myself audibly repeating the popular jingle from my youngin’ days advertising the “Cha-Cha-Cha Chia!” pets that seem to have disappeared from any television station. But hey guys…Christmas is coming and WHAT a gift for that person who has everything…amiriiiight?! Dare I say they even have some modern options?
Would it affect my credibility if I maybe, just kinda secretly (YALL DON’T TELL) like these emoji pets (I won’t be mad if you get me one, just make sure the box is shipped unmarked 🙈)?!
Things got a little too personal there. ANYWAY. The chia SEEDS. They are healthy filling little seeds that develop this smooth little coating once they hit water so you never even taste them and unless they get stuck in your teeth (awkward.) you will forget they were even present in that banana split err’ smoothie! I love the kinda healthy that involves pour little cute seeds in your breakfast that you can feel great about and don’t have to think about after that! Basically one more reason you should have dessert for breakfast (😍)…again…please don’t bring up the fact that I have forced sweet breakfasts on you two posts in a row. Mkaythanks. PROMISE not to do that again…this week.

- 1 small frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen grapes
- 2 tsp. chia seeds
- 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology*
- 1 scoop Vanilla Shakeology*
- 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup water (optional)**
- Add frozen fruit, liquid(s), protein powders and chia seeds to blender. Pulse until smooth or reached desired consistency and serve immediately.
**If you would like a thinner shake, add water to create more of a drink consistency.
