The newest quick n easy go-to dinner has hit our kitchen and isn’t going anywhere. I have made these 3x in the last week and not for the sake of taste testing, (sorry, I’m not that dedicated) I just follow my taste buds and trust their need for alllll the turkey.
Turkey Burger Status
I grew up on turkey burgers as a weeknight staple and was remised when the adult me realized how much sodium and lack of turkey they actually contained. Disappointing times.
When these seasoned Jennie-O turkey burgers arrived at my door, I was most definitely leery and fully expected the need for a gallon of water at my side after dinner. With Jennie-O’s track record, I should have known better, but was delighted to discover a minimal amount of sodium, lower in calories and packed with protein.
Date Night Burger
Ready for a burger night you can feel great about? Seasoned Turkey Burgers are your answer and all seasoned up so half the work is already done! Let’s break it down and get you on the way to burger town. <I don’t know.
First of all, I am scared to turn on the grill outside. Like literal fear that I am going to blow something up, so these little guys hit the oven on broil. Worked like a charm. Not to mention, it was super easy to get that cheese all melty at the end.
Skip the mayo on that bread and whip up the always delicious Avocado Dijon Spread (<shameless plug).
And sure, you could end it there but can you please consider the sunny egg? After all, it is summer. With as quick as this goodie comes together it is the perfect go to on a Friday night when the back porch is more appealing than a busy restaurant. Of course, that is pretty much every Friday night for this home-loving, puppy snuggling sunny egg burger eater 😁
Obviously, you can’t deny yourself that runny egg yolk action 😉

- 4 Jennie-O Seasoned Turkey Burgers
- 1 cup Pepper Jack Cheese, shredded
- 4 eggs
- 4 100% whole wheat bread rounds
- Avocado Dijon Spread
- Tomato slices
- Preheat to broil setting and place oven rack approximately 4 inches from heat source. Add frozen turkey burgers to a baking rack, placed on a baking sheet and add to oven. Allow to broil for 9-10 minutes, turn the burgers and broil for 9-10 more minutes.
- Meanwhile, fry the eggs and set aside.
- Add ¼ cup of cheese to the top of each burger towards the last 1-2 minutes of broiling time, to melt.
- Add avocado dijon to the wheat rounds and place burgers on top. Add tomato slices and an egg to each and finish with the top wheat round.
- Squeeze so that egg yolk gets all messy and enjoy 😀
